Time’s running! Recording working time becomes a mandatory task for companies of all sizes

Recording of working hours becomes a mandatory task for companies of all sizes

Following the ruling of the European Court of Justice (ECJ), the recording of working hours will become mandatory for every company in the future. The national legislators decided this in the individual countries. What is certain, however, is that companies should already proactively seek an efficient and future-proof solution around working time recording and management if they do not yet record it.

The Working Time Act (ArbZG) represents the basis and thus the general regulation of a working time recording. We have summarized the most important questions and answers for you briefly and concisely:

What does working time recording mean?

The term “recording of working hours” covers all the ways in which the daily working hours of employees can be documented as accurately as possible. This includes the period in which the employee must fulfill his or her contractually owed work obligation.

Why is time recording important?

The correct recording of actual working hours allows employers to determine compliance with legally required breaks and rest periods and, if necessary, to intervene to fulfill their duty of care. Employees, in turn, receive a valid basis for correct accounting of working hours.

How is working time recorded efficiently?

Digital, location-independent and simple.

There are now numerous ways to record working time in this way. We at conesprit have looked into the various possible solutions. In the process, we became aware of Timebutler. We were convinced by the product because the application is easy to use and the collected data is convenient to evaluate.

For this reason, we created an interface between SAP Business One and Timebutler, which transfers the recorded data to the SAP system. In the next blog entry, you will find out about the advantages this and which companies will particularly benefit from it!
